My daughter has greatly benefited from the nurturing and enriching environment at Hillside Montessori School. We've had the joy of watching our daughter blossom with confidence, independence, and a sense of curiosity—qualities that have been gently and intentionally nurtured in this caring environment. I don’t even know where to begin with our great experience. My daughter started at Hillside Montessori at 3½, after previously being cared for by family while I worked. We were nervous at first, but those worries disappeared quickly—the staff were caring, professional, and nurturing, treating her as their own and celebrating her successes. As parents, this level of care is what you hope for but rarely find. My daughter gained social skills, independence, confidence, and a strong sense of self that I don’t think she’d get anywhere else. The Montessori approach allowed her to learn at her own pace and build on skills when she was ready. The whole Hillside community—staff, students, and families—has been fantastic. We’re excited for our son to start this September. My only wish is that Hillside went up to grade 8!

Our son started at Hillside in 2022, and as he graduates in June 2025, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The teachers are warm, respectful, and genuinely caring, providing a consistent and supportive environment where our son was truly known. Hillside’s approach is authentically child-led, but teachers make sure every child progresses through all areas of the curriculum. We especially appreciated the phonics-based reading program, with weekly updates that let us stay involved. Our son now reads fluently, writes full sentences, and has developed strong math skills, thanks to a curriculum that builds year over year. He’s also loved the variety of science and geography projects he’s brought home. Hillside has been worth every penny, and while we’re sad to be moving on, we’re so grateful—our son is well prepared for Grade 1 both academically and socially. We’ll always look back on these years with deep appreciation.
